Passo Tonale
With 30 modern lifts and about 100 km of ski slopes, Passo Tonale is a skier’s paradise when traveling to Northern Italy. At 1,883 m, Passo Tonale connects the valleys of Val di Sol and Valcamonica and is mainly known for the winter sports it offers to visitors every year. Because of its location, skiers and snowboarders travel to the pass from the late Autumn season all the way into the Spring season.
Naturally, the snowfall in Passo Tonale is heavy but for a long lasting ski experience, it also is home to a snowmaking system that keeps the runs going as long as it can throughout the year. Throughout the pass one will find plenty of hotels, shopping, and other tourist attractions to make their stay worthwhile. Many of the hotels also open up right up to the ski slopes making it very easy for tourists to get around and get the best out of their Italian ski vacation.
